Since the early 2010s, I’ve held both leadership and collaborative roles in designing new learning and onboarding systems for large organizations, while also expanding pre-existing pedagogical methods through modern game design technologies and trends. As the language of gaming becomes increasingly widespread, it makes sense to harness that familiar vocabulary in more serious and complex contexts. Through projects like Justice Sector Training, Research, and Coordination Plus (JusTRAC+) and the Y-12 National Security Complex Virtual Training Demonstration Project, I have developed tools for augmented and virtual reality, mobile games for asynchronous learning, and even pen-and-paper social simulations. These efforts have enabled me to contribute meaningfully to ongoing initiatives in the international justice, security, and aerospace sectors.
